Creative arts as therapy is offered to our patients and can help those facing a life threatening illness to regain a sense of emotional well being and self-esteem, so often lost during illness.
You do not need to be good at art to benefit from creative art sessions, as the aim is not to produce skilful images. The focus is on the process which enables exploration of feelings and thoughts that may be difficult to talk about. We provide a safe and confidential space for participants to express themselves, both creatively and verbally, using a variety of media. Sessions may include journal/memory making, life story/reminiscence work, collage making, poetry and other activities.
