Complementary Therapies at Michael Sobell Day Hospice are offered free to all patients and and to their carers.
The aim is to support both carers and patients, during an often challenging time, by providing a means of relaxation, relief from stress and stress related symptoms and release from physical and emotional tension.
Referrals can be made by any member of staff at Michael Sobell Day Hospice, the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre or by a community healthcare professional.
Treatments are usually between 20-30 minutes. At your first session you will have a consultation with your therapist who will ask you a series of questions to determine if you have any condition which may require a therapy to be adapted or prevent you having a particular therapy. Therapies typically take place in one of the therapy rooms.
Current therapies on offer include:
- Indian Head Massage
