Having closed in June 2018 and undergone a refurbishment, our Inpatient Unit provides a home from home environment for local people to access respite care, get support with symptom control and receive end of life care.
We operate 10 inpatient beds which are split into four side rooms and four three-bedded bays. Our beautifully landscaped garden (thanks to our volunteer gardeners) is wheelchair accessible and we have a café area for friends and family members to enjoy a meal together, as well as a quiet room which provides a tranquil escape.
Our Welcome Leaflet [coming soon] provides further information about what to expect when you come to the Hospice and you can also take our Virtual Tour of the Hospice [coming soon].
If you feel that you or a member of your family could benefit from a referral to the Hospice, please contact us. Our services are available to people with life limiting illness across the London Borough of Hillingdon and where else?
Friends and family members are welcome to visit their loved ones on the IPU and visiting times are not limited. However at present, due to COVID-19, we have had to introduce some restrictions. Whilst we endeavour to tailor visiting to each patient, the general guidelines are:
- Each patient is permitted up to two visitors from the same household at a time and all visitors must wear masks which can be provided
- There is no limit to how long visitors can stay
