For the last forty years, Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) has been a vital supporter of end of life and palliative care services from its site at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood. Many hundreds of patients have passed through its inpatient and day care services and the feedback from patients, their families and carers, has shown that Michael Sobell Hospice Charity (MSHC) has played a huge part in enabling these services to continue in our community. Sandy Lodge Golf Day for MSH a £30k success!

A TEE-rific £30,000 was raised in aid of Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) at this year’s annual golf day at Sandy Lodge Golf Club, which took place on Thursday 10th May in glorious sunshine! The event saw 25 teams of specially invited golfers, take part in the Open qualifying course, followed by dinner, a raffle and an auction in the evening. West Herts College students unveil ‘fly on the wall’ film

A group of students from the Media Production TV & Film course at West Herts College in Watford, have just produced a fly-on-the-wall fundraising film for the Michael Sobell Hospice Charity based at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood. The young filmmakers volunteered their time for the Charity over the course of two days, which they spent interviewing staff, volunteers, patients and their family members to gain a ‘first hand’ insight into the work of the Hospice which cares for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Michael Sobell Hospice Eastcote Charity Shop Burgled

In the early hours of Friday morning, Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) charity shop on Field End Road, Eastcote was broken into causing internal damage and resulting in the theft of over £600 after the in-store safe was completely vandalised. Marlow man to walk 150 miles and climb 3000 metres for MSH in memory of brother-in-law

Local man Mark Parsons from Marlow is taking on an epic walking and climbing challenge whilst raising money for Michael Sobell Hospice, in memory of his brother-in-law Brian Thatcher, who passed away at the Hospice. Mark will be walking from Marlow Bridge at 8.00am on Thursday 24th May to the source of the Thames, and will then scale the Three Peaks of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, before returning to Marlow one week later!  In total, Mark will be walking around 150 miles and climbing over 3,000 metres. Get on your bike and push those pedals for MSHC!

With just over two weeks until the Michael Sobell Hospice Charity (MSHC) 40-mile On Your Bike cycle challenge, over 100 cyclists are already gearing up to put their pedal power to the test in support of the Hospice which provides palliative care to local people and their families across Hillingdon, Buckinghamshire and parts of Hertfordshire.
