Michael Sobell Hospice Eastcote Charity Shop Burgled

In the early hours of Friday morning, Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) charity shop on Field End Road, Eastcote was broken into causing internal damage and resulting in the theft of over £600 after the in-store safe was completely vandalised.

A Charity volunteer arrived on the scene around 9.00am the same day to find the back door wide-open, the lock smashed in and money left overnight in the shop safe gone.

“It saddens me to think that someone would steal money from a Charity which raises money to help, support and care for those people who need our services in their time of need, towards end of life,” explained Victoria Mansell, MSH Charity Volunteer & Retail Manager. “Please, if anyone has information about this incident, contact the Metropolitan Police using crime reference number: CHS 27220 and police crime report number: 0909355/1A.”

Michael Sobell Hospice provides essential palliative care for local people and their families across Hillingdon and parts of Bucks and Herts. The Charity needs to raise over £1.6 million pounds each year to fund services including a 16-bedded in-patient unit and day centre.
