Who is it for?

For all registered healthcare professionals who care for patients with Central Venous Access Devices (CVADs). Competency must then be assessed in clinical practice using a locally ratified assessment tool.

  • Basic anatomy and physiology
  • Management of complications associated with CVADs
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Safe removal
  • Accessing an implanted port
  • Management of an occluded CVAD
  • Exit site dressings
  • Accessing and flushing
