The inpatient unit has a focus on improving quality of life for patients by providing relief from distressing symptoms. Patients may be admitted for symptom management, rehabilitation, carer support or for care in the last days of life.
The team at Michael Sobell Hospice has been providing specialist palliative care since its inception, embracing a philosophy that is compatible with hospice care. A multidisciplinary team of doctors nurses, chaplains, social workers, counsellors, physiotherapists, occupational and complementary therapists, housekeepers and administration staff support the unit.
Whether attending as an inpatient or outpatient, both occupational therapy and physiotherapy are available to patients through our rehabilitation service.
