Remember the life of someone you love by dedicating a light in their memory
We would love you to join us in remembering loved ones and friends in our Light up a Life Remembrance Ceremonies of music and readings. Lights will be lit during the ceremonies and our Light up a Life tree will be illuminated until the Twelfth Night of 2019. Each light is a poignant reminder of the joy and brightness that people have brought into our lives. Light is symbolic and central to many cultures and brings particular comfort during the darker months of the year, the season of remembrance.
This year two ceremonies are being held on:
- Sunday 2nd December, Michael Sobell Centre, Lecture Hall 4pm & 6.30pm
There will also be a time for quiet reflection and after each ceremony light refreshments will be served.
If you would like to dedicate a light in memory of someone, to celebrate a birth or just to say ‘thank you’ or ‘hello’ to an absent loved one, please complete the form on this page.
You can dedicate as many lights as you wish and your kind gift will help bring a little light to you, those being cared for in the Hospice and to their families.
On receipt of your completed form, we will provide you with full details of the ceremony and a dedication memento for you to complete with the name of your loved one which you can keep at home or bring to a ceremony and hang on our Remembrance Tree. Names of those to whom the lights are dedicated will be placed in the keepsake programme.
If you cannot join us on the day, you are still welcome to dedicate a light and receive a copy of the keepsake programme.
