We are fortunate to have the support of local schools throughout the year

As a result of the pandemic, fundraising 'at school' isn't possible at the moment due to restrictions, but there are a variety of ways you can fundraise virtually for us!

Perhaps your PTA could organise an online school quiz, using Kahoot, Teams or Zoom? If you're stuck for questions, we would be happy to provide some for you! It would be a great opportunity to break up the online home schooling too for a short time.

Could your school hold a Virtual Fancy Dress Day to replace Mufti Day? For example, primary school children could attend online lessons as their favourite book character or superhero in return for a donation.

Could your school choir record a song or perhaps you could suggest a lockdown poetry or art competition?

Our nurses and doctors are travelling to the Hospice every day. Could you help organise a sponsored step challenge and take part in a virtual walk from school to the Hospice?

All you need to do then is set up your school JustGiving page and encourage parents to donate. We will provide certificates to email to everyone who takes part.

When life is a bit more 'normal' again, there are lots of activities students and their families can get involved with, such as raffles, family sports days, fancy dress & dress down days, entrepreneur projects, cake sales, recycle initiatives - donating unwanted items/gifts - to name a few.

Spotlight on Whiteheath Junior School, Ruislip

After the first nationwide lockdown, pupils took part in a school endurance event on hearing that Michael Sobell Hospice Charity's fundraising income had taken a hit due to the pandemic, and in turn, raised an incredible £1,000!

Pupils decided to help raise money with a special challenge event called 'Endure' which took place in the summer, with other pupils setting their own family challenges at home which included cycle rides, hikes and runs.

Thank you to all involved in such a fantastic achievement!

If your school would like to organise a fundraising event in aid of The Michael Sobell Hospice Charity, our fundraising team can help. Support can include; supplying visual props, posters & collecting tubs, speaking at assemblies, & providing publicity & social media support.

Please contact the Fundraising Team who will be happy to discuss any ideas you may have on 020 3826 2367 or email:
