Who is it for?
This study day will be of interest primarily to registered nursing staff working within hospital, community and care home settings and who have regular contact with patients who have palliative needs or those approaching the end of life. The day may also be of interest to AHPs, student nurses and other clinical staff who have regular contact with this group of patients.
Aim of sessions
To develop an understanding and skills in the assessment and management of common symptoms that affect palliative care patients and those patients approaching the end of life.
Holistic assessment and management of common symptoms in palliative care and end of life care, such as; pain, nausea and vomiting, breathlessness and gastrointestinal symptoms in palliative care and end of life care settings.
