Thumbs up to Waitrose for Community Matters van donation

THANK YOU – is the message from Michael Sobell Hospice Charity (MSHC) to the entire team and customers of Waitrose in Northwood, Harrow Weald, Rickmansworth and Ruislip, for their donation towards part funding the Charity’s new Warehouse Collections Service van via the in-store Community Matters Funding Scheme. Nearly £2,000 was raised via the scheme. Not one, not two, but 17 challenges for local school teacher!

Simply TEE-RIFIC – £28k raised at Sandy Lodge Golf Day!

100 golfers took to the fairway on Thursday 29th June for the annual golf day at Sandy Lodge Golf Club, Northwood; raising a whopping £28,000 (after costs) in celebration of 40 years of local hospice care. Supporter aiming to lose 3 stone in memory of Mum

Supporter Paul Newton is aiming to lose three stone in weight by October, for Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH), which cared for his Mum (Marilyn Newton) during what he describes as the “hardest time in their lives”. Sporty Steve Hopkins has set his fundraising challenge high as he aims to take on an epic cycle ride, that will see him pedalling 969 miles in just nine days from Land’s End to John O’Groats for the Deloitte RAB 2017 event – all in support of Northwood-based Michael Sobell Hospice. We need votes to receive a share of Freemasons’ £25k pot!

Northwood-based, Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH), is appealing to all its friends, supporters and service users to VOTE ONLINE to help receive a £25,000 Community Award from the Freemasons. As part of Freemasonry’s 300th anniversary celebrations, the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is distributing three million pounds to 300 charities across the country, and MSH is one of those selected. Each of the nominated charities will receive a grant, but the public vote will determine how much they receive, ranging from £4,000 to £25,000.
