Marlow man to walk 150 miles and climb 3000 metres for MSH in memory of brother-in-law

Local man Mark Parsons from Marlow is taking on an epic walking and climbing challenge whilst raising money for Michael Sobell Hospice, in memory of his brother-in-law Brian Thatcher, who passed away at the Hospice. Mark will be walking from Marlow Bridge at 8.00am on Thursday 24th May to the source of the Thames, and will then scale the Three Peaks of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, before returning to Marlow one week later!  In total, Mark will be walking around 150 miles and climbing over 3,000 metres. Get on your bike and push those pedals for MSHC!

With just over two weeks until the Michael Sobell Hospice Charity (MSHC) 40-mile On Your Bike cycle challenge, over 100 cyclists are already gearing up to put their pedal power to the test in support of the Hospice which provides palliative care to local people and their families across Hillingdon, Buckinghamshire and parts of Hertfordshire. BNI Rickmansworth continue to Donate Don’t Dump!

A big thumbs up to our friends at BNI Rickmansworth, who are continuing to donate unwanted clothing through our Donate Don’t Dump campaign. Our Warehouse van collection service (run by volunteers) enables employees to bring in their donation bags which are picked up and taken away free of charge. Dying Matters Awareness Week events at MSH

Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) is holding a number of events during Dying Matters Awareness Week (14th-20th May). These events form part of a national campaign which has been organised by the Dying Matters Coalition to encourage people to talk openly about dying, death and bereavement. Grab your gardening goodies at our annual Plant Sale

The annual Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) plant sale returns on Saturday 12th May, 10.00am-12.30pm, and has once again been organised by the Hospice’s award-winning, green-fingered volunteer team, who regularly donate their time, talent and love of all-things gardening to help maintain the grounds of the Northwood-based Hospice – come rain or shine. Second time lucky wins the jackpot!

A local member of The Hospice Lottery, Mrs M from Aylesbury, could not believe her luck on Friday 23rd March when she received a call to say that despite this only being her second week in the lottery draw she had won the £10,000 Rollover prize. MSH reaps rewards of Black Horse Pub Fundraiser in memory of Carol Shipp

A whopping £7,600 was raised at a CannonBall Run-themed fundraising event in January, held at the Black Horse pub, Fulmer, in memory of Carol Shipp who passed away at Michael Sobell Hospice in December last year. The fun rally saw cars rev off from outside the pub to undertake a 70-mile round trip, ending up back to base for a spectacular auction and raffle with prizes including Arsenal FC match tickets, memorabilia signed by Sir Roger Moore, a suite at The Dorchester Hotel plus dinner and an overnight stay at The Crazy Bear!
