Local theatre company celebrates 20 years of performing by supporting Michael Sobell Hospice

The Pastiche Musical Theatre company, based in Hillingdon is celebrating twenty years of performances at the end of March with a production of Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart’s hit musical Hello, Dolly! just as a major revival (starring Bette Midler in the title role) opens on Broadway. The show will be performed at The Compass Theatre in Ickenham from 29 March – 1 April. Hello, Dolly! is the story of Mrs. Dolly Levi’s efforts to marry Horace Vandergelder, the well-known half-a-millionaire, and send his money circulating among the people like rainwater the way her late husband, Ephraim Levi, taught her.

ITV The Chase star to make special appearance at MSH 40th anniversary quiz

Popular celebrity quizzer Shaun Wallace aka ‘The Dark Destroyer’ from ITV’s The Chase, will be taking on 17 teams of quiz-goers on Friday (24th February, 7.30pm) night at the Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) 40th anniversary quiz (NOW SOLD OUT), commenting he is “honoured” to be taking part. Waitrose Ruislip shows its support for MSH in 40th anniversary year

Thanks to Waitrose, Ruislip, volunteers from Michael Sobell Hospice Charity (MSHC) will be hosting an in-store fundraising collection and Easter egg donation point on Friday 24th & Saturday 25th February, in celebration of 40 years of providing hospice care to local people. Shoppers will be invited to donate a few pennies to the Northwood-based hospice, which has been providing specialist palliative care for over four decades to patients and their families facing life-limiting illness. Northwood-based Michael Sobell Hospice will be celebrating 40 years of local hospice care from Tuesday 14th February (Valentine’s Day) with a kiss – and a little help from celebrities including Anthea Turner, Kate Nash and Gloria Hunniford!
